Summary:  The third book in the series picks off after a dying oracle gives her last prophecy. Jason and Rachel must now part ways, leading their own groups on two separate quests. Jason leads some of his friends and a team of drinlings across the inland sea on a hunt for the last hope of Darian the Pyromancer. On the way they have to contend with hostile cities, an island with one invincible defender, and a land full of dangerous natural obstacles. Rachel joins Galloran in the attempt to reestablish himself in Treinsicourt and lead a full out attack on Felrook with the last of the free races. She faces doubts, lost friends and an offer that could change the course of history.

Why I recommend this book:  This is the suspenseful third book that finishes off the Beyonders series. The story continues to move, jumping from two different view points with ease. All the characters from the previous books play an important part in accomplishing each quest, with everything leading perfectly into the final chapters. Brandon Mull will leave you wanting more as he rounds off the adventure of Jason and Rachel. I recommend this book to someone who likes adventure, magic, and a thrilling final.
