The Enemy

I have been reading this series for a while and I finally finished it. The Enemy Series follows the possibilities of trying to survive a zombie-like apocalypse in modern day London. I love zombie series in general, and this is one of my favorites series so far.

Summary:  A mysterious disease has rendered the entire human population above 16 dead. Or worse. Those that died were the lucky ones. The ones that didn't now wander the world as diseased people searching for those that escaped the effects of the disease. The children under the age of 16 are still alive, for now. The survivors have to band together, or the dead people 16 and up will kill and eat them. As the series progresses the characters introduced interact in new ways, each following their own story line that starts to come together in book 5 and finalizes the entire series in book 7.

Rating:  ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Language: Frequently used.

Sexual Content:  Just a few comments. No scenes.

Violence:  This is a zombie series. Every single chapter, practically.

Age Range:  14 and up because of language and violence.

Why I recommend this book:  Charlie Higson wrote with extreme skill and has an exquisite imagination. Aside from language and sexual content, there is very little to say bad about this series. As a whole the story flows great. The plot changes so often that you have no idea where everything is going, but it all fits perfectly in the end. You can tell that this series was given a big deal of thought before it was published. I suggest that you read this series starting with book 2, then going to 1, then continuing the story normally. The only reason I have to say this is that book 2 starts a few weeks after the start of the apocalypse, and the others all start about a year after the beginning.
